I totaly agree, it's moronic with the copyrights exaggeration.
Perhaps I can understand that it's not allowed to transfer the music to other players though you can copy them via MC, CD or whatever.
But not hearing my own music files? Why???
I've tested some differnt ways to code playing music from local folders, but all I've got was an error message like WAV, MP3, OGG ... can't be streamed with Unity.
The music gets loaded but it's filename is null and the stream drops the FPS from 250 to <10.
I found some forum discussions and no one had a solution but they talked about copyright restrictions...
Another solution was to stream audio websites like
http://www.1.fm/station/60s_70s/ with a small plugin. This worked fine - but again it's not allowed.
So the only solution is to start your music in an external player.
Once EoD has a million players the game studio will be able to purchase some original soundtrack licenses.
And if it get's as famous as BF1942 or Minecraft we will engage the Stones or The Grandmamas & The Grandpapas for some new titles
Meanwhile we use a website wich can do whatever they want
