Eve of Destruction

Hi Lotte,
I know your busy and such, just wanted to let you know EoD 3 is taking form and really looks terrific!!! I just had a few questions about upcoming Eod 3 when you get a chance.
1. Whether game download or on the usb pungi stick. Are you able to do reinstalls on the pc due to unforeseen pc replacement or pc hardparts replacement?
2. Will EoD 3 be available in retail dvd package in the near future? or only avail. in usb stick and download?
3. Will we be able to input songs into a music folder when using a vehicle in the game, like BFV?
4. Able to use Joystick and/or gamepad type controllers in Eod 3?
5. Approximately how much Harddrive space does EoD 3 utilize?

Yes, the game is really oldschool in all cases.
It's an exe plus data files. Just put the folder on an USB stick and transfer it to the new hardware.
Also you can transfer your highscores and settings, wich are stored in ..../MYDOCUMENTS/MYGAMES/Eve of Destruction!

I didn't want to offer DVD's cause of pollution and DVD's often make (read/write) troubles.
The costs to burn it in a factory are to expensive.
And I'm sure >90% will load it from the website.
But it's no problem to burn it on a DVD by yourself! You may store it wherever and how often you want (though the license is for 1 PC of course).

This is not in the game yet and I never heard about that. Maybe cause I purchased it but never played BFV
Sounds like a good idea and should be no problem to implement it. I'll try it tonight
I've played around with live-streaming. There are lot of radiostreams wich could be implemented but I'm not sure about the copyrights.
But doing your own music into a folder is for sure ok!

Yes and yes. We've tried joysticks and gamepads, also PS-4.
I don't want to talk about smartphones, xBox and Wii, wich are not tested yet, but it should work with everything.
This is the plan though the first version will be available for PC only.

I didn't make a build for a longer time cause it takes a lot of hours.
The last build was 4 GB and this is what it looks like the size will be (uncompressed).
It's a looooooooooooooot of stuff!




Just another thing: the license will be: you can play with 1 player per license on whatever hardware you want.
So you can copy the game on a USB stick and take it to a friend and play at his computer.
But you won't be able to play both with the same license.
(Of course I know there are million ways to crack everything but I count on honesty and good souls ).

I greatly appreciate the info. Thanks for answering all my questions. If you are able to create a music folder for the vehicles in the game, that would be awesome!Hopefully it's possible. As for cracking codes, I don't believe in that. I hope everyone respects how much you and everyone else has put into creating the game. I for one will be definitely be purchasing 2, and possibly 4 additional(depending on how well it runs on my network pc's). Works great on my main pc. So I understand your releasing a full demo on New Years? I tried the small current demo on one of four of my network gaming pc's, seems to do ok on lesser settings.(pent.D 3ghz (800fsb), 3gb Ram(ddr2 800), evga gt630 2gb graphics, windows xp home edition 32bit), for I saw your min. requirements, and thought I'd give it a try. But looking forward to try a full version and see. Thanks a bunch Lotte!!

Unfortunately this 'radio' project is discontinued cause Unity doesn't allow to stream music from local folders anymore.
Maybe it's a bug or cause of license restrictions, I don't know and there are a lot of disussions but no reply from Unity

Will the UH1 Gunship make a return? I only saw a "plain" Huey in the helicopters list..

(The gunship was almost the sole reason for me playing eod )

Ouch, I didn't take a look at the forums for some time. To busy

There are 3 Hueys:
- M-134 (the one in the list)
- the 'gunship' and a
- SAR Huey

You may see it in the bloopers-video at eod-game.com (click on 'older news')
Of course the gunship in the bloopers video has not the same firerate as in game

In total there are ~180 vehicles and some in different variants.
So there will be more than 200 vehicles to check.
